I decided to go for a walk through the Kommero Toera Trail in the Melaleuca Forest in Mackay. This is the largest Melaleuca Forest in Australia – mainly Paperbark Trees. I was a little early – the “Wetlands” are dry as – apparently the December – March period is the best – once the rains have started. But anyway, good scout as I think it will be a vastly different location once the water arrives.
